Information you send us
Contact and pledge forms ask for details such as your name, email address, phone number, topic, message, donation method, and any note you choose to include. The form records your submission so authorized staff can follow up. Do not send passwords, payment card details, or sensitive personal or medical information about a child through these forms. The pledge form is not a payment processor.
Form submissions are stored in the website application’s private data area and are available to staff through the password-protected staff inbox. We use them to reply to inquiries, follow up on pledges, and keep the records needed to administer the organization’s work. We do not sell form submissions. We keep records only for as long as needed to respond, administer our work, and meet applicable recordkeeping duties. When they are no longer needed, we remove them or securely destroy them.
Cookies, local storage, and advertising
The site uses a session cookie for staff sign-in and local browser storage to remember whether a visitor has dismissed a site prompt. Google AdSense and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to deliver and measure ads. Depending on settings and your location, ads may be personalized based on visits to this site or other sites. Payments and third parties
This site does not collect card numbers. Mobile money, bank transfers, and PayPal are completed through the relevant provider; their own privacy terms apply. Google, our hosting provider, and providers you choose to use may process technical data necessary to deliver their services.
Your requests
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete information you submitted, subject to records we must retain. Email mercyforlifeafrica@gmail.com or write to P.O. Box 34575, Kampala, Uganda. We will verify the request before changing or disclosing records. You may also find information about Uganda’s data-protection regulator at Personal Data Protection Office.
